This control is available only in «Draw Curves» mode. The blocks marked as finished in file will be read normally. The file contains the default curves Audacity ships with and which are restored when you press «Defaults» in «Save/Manage» Curves…». This file should not be edited.
Cancel aborts the effect and leaves the audio unchanged. Defaults to 30 seconds. interval is formatted as in the option ‘—timeout’ above. —log-events=fileLog all significant events (start of each pass and end of run) in file. If file already exists, the new events are appended at the end of file. Always use a mapfile unless you know you won’t need it. This file stores: the last «unnamed» curve visible on the graph (the save is made whenever you press «OK» in Equalization) all the named presets.
This is a more advanced form of the EQ and Tone controls on many audio systems. As an example of equalization, the curve shown below changes the balance of high and low frequencies in the audio to make it sound like an AM radio broadcast. The last pass is a sweeping pass, with skipping disabled. When performing logic operations (AND, OR, XOR) on mapfiles of different extension, only the blocks present in both files are processed.
